Split 02 — Anechoic & Mersel

On October 23, we welcome Anechoic and Mersel for the second chapter of our split series. Two Parisian artists, friends long before this record, each making their vinyl debut.

After bringing together Geinst and Simone Bauer on Split 01, we continue with the same idea: two artists sharing a record, with a side each to express their own sound.

Mersel takes the A side with Blessing and Plaits Modulation. His techno is mental and hypnotic, with a groove that holds everything together. On the B side, Anechoic moves between techno and trance through A Fantasy and Optical Irritation. Two approaches, given room to unfold across four tracks.

The digital edition extends the record with one additional track from each artist: Mersel’s The Path To Love and Anechoic’s Bioluminescent Lianas.

Split 02 arrives on 12″ vinyl in an edition of 200 copies, with no repress. Mastered by Giovanni Conti at Artefacts Mastering, with artwork by Lowless Records.
